Attorney Leary McKenzie

Leary has broad experience in the state and federal court systems. While at the University of South Carolina School of Law in Columbia, SC, he was an Articles Editor for the South Carolina Law Review. During law school he worked multiple clerkships for prominent defense firms and interned for the Honorable J. Michelle Childs, a U.S. District Judge in Greenville, SC. After graduating with honors, and being sworn into the South Carolina Bar, Leary immediately went to work as a Plaintiff's lawyer in his hometown of Dillon, SC, and has been there ever since, aggressively representing his clients in a wide array of cases.
Before he was an attorney, Leary earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Chemistry from the University of South Carolina. Leary worked over a decade in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, primarily as a consultant. While traveling the globe helping companies get their products to market or resolve compliance issues cited by the FDA, Leary honed his analytical and critical thinking skills and gained valuable experience interpreting federal regulations to help his clients. Leary's experience, along with his relentless work ethic are valuable tools that allow him to achieve the results his clients want and deserve.

Katie McKenzie

Katie McKenzie

Katie obtained her bachelor's degree in English from the University of South Carolina where she graduated from the South Carolina Honors College.  While she considered a career in teaching, she found herself developing software for pharmaceutical distributors and investment firms for over a decade.  During her later career, Katie went back to school to earn an MBA from the University of South Carolina. 

Katie has successfully parlayed her critical thinking and problem-solving skills into her role as Office Manager for McKenzie Law Firm PC.  She also works in other aspects of the firm from initial client intake to investigation, research, drafting documents and trial preparation.

Amanda Hyatt (Mandy)

Amanda Hyatt (Mandy)

Mandy, a life-long Dillon native, is a legal assistant at McKenzie Law Firm PC.  She brings with her over twenty years of experience in the Healthcare industry primarily dealing with medical insurance companies.  Mandy's experience is invaluable to the firm where she regularly coordinates lien resolution with medical providers.
